Welcome to the Academia Internacional San Miguel de Allende, a K-12 school in UNESCO World Heritage Site and colonial capital of Mexico, San Miguel de Allende. The Academia is a coeducational, nonprofit, non-sectarian day academy, opened in August 2012.

Cambridge International Programme

The Academia Internacional was founded with the aim of providing quality education to allow children to cope with the challenges of an increasingly competitive world. Currently, we are seeking Cambridge accreditation and are offering our qualified sixth through tenth grade students the opportunity to take international courses alongside the national programme. These courses allow students to gain the necessary academic training to cope with the challenges of an unpredictable future in the twenty-first century. At a time of rapid change, where information becomes dated so quickly, it is important that students are taught to think critically and creatively. Our aim is to produce students who are confident, responsible, reflective, innovative and engaged in order to be able to compete in a global, interconnected world.

Our team of highly qualified Cambridge teachers develop in students an in depth understanding of subject matters alongside such skills as critical thinking; the ability to carry out independent research; evaluate contrasting viewpoints; communicate clear and reasoned arguments; work independently and in team; and understand global issues from multiple perspectives.
